Electric scooters and bicycles play a pivotal role in mitigating pollution and providing a sustainable transportation option for individuals. These eco-friendly modes of transport not only contribute to a cleaner environment but also offer a viable and convenient means of commuting for people.
Problem
How can we design a reliable, flexible, and user-friendly transportation solution for short-distance commutes that addresses high costs and air pollution?
Research
To address the increasing demand for sustainable transportation, we explored electric scooters and bicycles as eco-friendly options for short-distance commuting. Our objective was to comprehend user behaviors, preferences, and challenges to design an optimal user experience. I utilized online surveys to assess awareness, interest, and concerns among a diverse user demographic.
The surveys delved into participants' current commuting habits, environmental considerations, and perceptions of these sustainable modes of transportation. Additionally, we conducted one-on-one interviews with users, both regular and hesitant, to uncover their motivations, reservations, and specific preferences related to short-distance commuting.

Ideation
The Ideate phase kicked off with generating ideas on how to tackle the app design and its features. The app provides users with flexibility, allowing them to reserve their preferred mode of transportation and complete the payment after the ride. By addressing user pain points, RIDE surpasses its competitors by offering a more feature-rich and enhanced experience. Riders no longer need to be concerned about returning the bikes to their original rental location; even on one-way trips, they can conveniently drop the vehicle anywhere.

Solution
After establishing the scope and objectives of the project, I commenced the ideation phase by sketching redesign concepts for the RIDE app. My approach involved creating wireframes specifically tailored to enhance the Navigation UI within the RIDE app. This ensured a seamless integration of improved navigation features while aligning with the established design framework.
Learnings
Throughout the project, I gained valuable insights into the importance of safety education during ride initiation, the significance of clear and concise guidelines, and the seamless integration of eco-friendly gamification elements.
The emphasis on continuous improvement, evidenced by regular updates to safety guidelines and monitoring of QR code scanning functionality, ensures that the RIDE app remains at the forefront of the competitive landscape.
